Brian graduated from the University of Western Australia as a Bachelor of Law in 1973 and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1975.
In his early years as a legal practitioner Brian practiced in a broad area of law, including conveyancing, criminal law, family law and personal injuries.
Brian was a Partner in the leading country law firm, Haynes Robinson, at Albany for 12 years, during which he practiced as a specialist in tort law and personal injury actions. Brian and David Bayly formed the firm of Bradley & Bayly (now Bradley Bayly Legal) in March 2001. He has extensive experience in appearing as counsel at trials in the District Court of WA, Supreme Court of WA and in appeal proceedings.
Brian continues to practice at Bradley Bayly Legal with specialty in tort law, including claims arising out of aircraft accidents and personal injury claims.
He has represented clients in a number of high profile cases, including:
- the Jandakot air crash case
Cifuentes -v- Fugro Spatial Solutions Pty Ltd  WASC 316
- a major “Organic farmer v Genetically-modified farmer” case which progressed right through to the High Court
Marsh -v- Baxter  WASC 209;  WASC 187;  HCA Trans 22.
- represented the widow of one of the Directors of Sundance Resources Ltd who was killed in a plane crash in the Congo.
